Blacklist beats Bren; Omega outlasts ECHO

Two-time champion Blacklist International kept its pristine record intact after scoring an emphatic 2-0 sweep over a gritty Bren Esports side Saturday in the MPL Season 10.

Composed of its world championship roster of OhMyV33nus, Wise, OHEB, Edward, and Hadji, Blacklist was given a tough fight in the opening game by the youngsters of Bren Esports.

However, come Game 2, it was all Blacklist International as they needed just 15 minutes to cop the series.

“They (Bren) gave their all in Game 1. They lost momentum in Game 2 so we were able to press,” Blacklist coach BON CHAN said after the match.

“Just because we are opponents, [it does not mean] we are still opponents after the game. We have lost before so I know what they are feeling right now.”

The match between the two also saw Wise getting his hands on an assassin jungler Benedetta which was a different approach to the team’s tank jungler lineup that has been played in the past.

“There is no specific meta. We adjust to whatever is the meta of our opponent,” Blacklist team captain OhMyV33nus noted.

Earlier in the day, Omega Esports added to ECHO’s woes with a 2-1 victory. ONIC, meanwhile, essayed a 2-1 win over Nexplay EVOS.
