Ruby, Balanay TOP MALARAYAT TILT

Mark Ruby and Jay Balanay led the winners in the World Amateur Golf Championship qualifying tournament at Mt. Malarayat Country Club in Lipa, Batangas Friday.

Ruby fired one-under-par 71 to win the low gross title while Balanay emerged net champion with 61.

The top two finishers in each division advanced into the national finals.

The tournament was organized by G&W Clubshares and Batangas Golf.

The division winners:

Division 1 — Ryan Joseph Rizada, champion; Abe Avena, runner-up; Ivan Avena, third placer;
Division 2 — Gerald Katigbak, champion; Kiano Oposa, runner-up; Rolly Tolores, third placer;
Division 3 — Collins Carlos, champion; Christopher Ty, runner-up; Vicky Herrera, runner-up;
Division 4 — Tony Mangubat, champion; Ronald Mamangun, runner-up; Alfredo Abarintos, third placer;
Division 5 — Cesar Caraig, champion; Tony Buendia, runner-up; Ryan Besid, third placer;
Division 6 — Pushkar Misra, champion; Mario Manalo, runner-up; Villa Farinas, third placer.
