San Beda University fired 16 three-pointers en route to an 85-56 win over Emilio Aguinaldo College in Season 98 National Collegiate Athletic Association men’s basketball tournament at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan Tuesday afternoon.

James Kwekuteye scored 15 points and six rebounds as the Red Lions captured their first win of the season under head coach Yuri Escueta.

The Red Lions dictated the pace in the first period as they sunk eight 3-pointers and stifled the Generals’ firepower, 32-7.

San Beda didn’t give any chances for the Generals to bounce back in the remaining quarters.

Joshua Tolentino led the Generals with 16 markers and five boards as they remain winless after two games.
