Brownlee as PBA import yardstick — can he measure up to legit ex-NBA cagers?

PBA five-time champion and two-time best import Justin Brownlee, has remained the standard among reinforcements playing in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup which opens 21 September.

But the US-born 2011 undrafted NBA aspirant will get stiff competition from a bumper cast of legitimate ex-NBA players taking center stage for their respective teams.

Thomas Robinson of San Miguel Beer, Earl Clark of NLEX, Johnny O’Bryant III of Meralco, Quincy Miller of Converge, Cameron Oliver of TNT and Andrew Nicholson from guest team Bay Area, are among the high-profile imports seeing action in a tournament that imposes a 6-foot-10 height limit for reinforcements.
