Eala loses doubles match

Alex Eala and partner Alice Robbe of France lost to Madison Brengle and Whitney Osuigwe of the United States, 6-7, 6-3, 6-10, in the first round of the W60 Templeton women’s doubles tournament at Templeton Tennis Ranch in California on 27 September (Manila time).

Eala and Robbe found themselves booted out after only an hour and 47 minutes of action against the American pair.

Brengle and Osuigwe face Arianne Hartono of The Netherlands and Astra Sharma of Australia in the quarterfinal.

This is Eala’s latest tournament after bagging the US Open junior girls singles on 11 September.
