M2 Mobile Legends world championship Most Valuable Player Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno reflects on the heartbreak of Mobile Legends Professional League Philippines Season 9 as ECHO makes its preparations for the Season 10 Playoffs.

ECHO, which is touted as a super team last season, was the first squad to get eliminated in the Playoffs when it suffered a stunning 0-3 sweep at the hands of Omega Esports.

The setback sparked a barrage of criticisms, especially aimed at KarlTzy with fans saying that he is already past it.

“We have lost many matches so people were saying that KarlTzy is done. I saw people saying that so I told myself that I have to show that I am far from over,” KarlTzy told Daily Tribune.

“(I blame myself when we lose) especially when I used a carry hero. I think it is my fault because sometimes I do the shot call so I think about what I have done wrong. It makes me so eager because I know there is so much I can still do.”

KarlTzy said he blamed solely himself for not living up to the expectations last season because he did not adjust his style of play and was unable to carry his team as jungler.
