Tictac’s boys keep winning mindset

ECHO has its eyes on the prize heading into the Mobile Legends Professional League Philippines Season 10 Playoffs.

Although they plan to give their all in what is expected to be a brutal Playoffs, ECHO coach Harold Francis “Tictac” Reyes said they will not deviate from their usual routine.

“We are not doing anything new, we have just the same winning mindset,” Tictac told Daily Tribune.

“We are doing what we have done from the beginning and we are not going to change our routine because of our opponents.”

He said they learned a lot of lessons from their previous campaign.

“We have scheduled scrimms thrice a day and we have a sleep pattern that must be followed. They need eight hours of sleep because that could affect their mentality. When it comes to the Playoffs we would only tweak our routine a little and intensify our training,” Tictac added.

“(I learned a lot last season) especially from losing via sweep to Omega Esports in the Playoffs. Those three games we were ahead early then we would lose everything because of one crucial decision.”

Despite being touted as a super team in Season 9 when it secured some of the biggest signings that tourney has ever seen, ECHO still failed to live up to the expectations when it lost to Omega Esports via 0-3 sweep in the opening match of Season 9 Playoffs.

It is from that heartbreak that Tictac concluded what is truly lacking in the team.

“We really needed to improve our discipline. Our defeats last season were because of discipline so we had to work on that. I really pushed to discipline the players this season,” Tictac revealed.

“That was what we lacked last season so I told them that I am going to be strict. When you have the discipline for yourself you carry that to the game so that was what I pushed for. The players have matured as well so hopefully, we win the championship this season.”
