Blacklist International passes Bren acid test, ECHO beats RSG

SOCIAL MEDIA

Two-time MPL PH champion and M3 Mobile Legends world champion Blacklist International earned a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Bren Esports on Day 2 of the MPL Season 10 Playoffs on 21 October to book its upper bracket finals appearance.

After winning the first game of the best-of-five series, Blacklist found themselves on the brink of defeat after Bren bit back by winning the next couple of games.

Blacklist, however, found their groove in Game 4 to tie the series, then ended the match in Game 5 after 26 minutes of play.

“I think Owgwen and the entire Bren Esports proved how strong they are this season,” said Blacklist’s team captain OhMyV33nus.

Earlier in the day, ECHO scored an impressive 3-1 victory over the defending MPL PH champion and MSC 2022 champion RSG PH.

The win over the reigning champs booked ECHO a slot in the upper bracket finals while RSG faces off with Bren in the lower bracket semifinals on 22 October.

“We had the same preparation for this match. Maybe we are just more eager this time because they had a lot to say,” ECHO jungler KarlTzy quipped after the match.
