Filipinas, NZ in Group A

The Philippines and New Zealand will meet again in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup after both squads were placed in Group A.

At the World Cup Draw Saturday in Aukland, the Filipinas and the Football Ferns were sorted in the same group along with No. 12 Norway and No. 21 Switzerland.

The last time the No. 53 Filipinas and the No. 22 New Zealand faced each other was during a friendly match last 7 September in the United States where the Football Ferns prevailed, 2-1.

The Philippines will be facing Switzerland on 21 July in Wellington before facing off with New Zealand again on 26 July.

The Filipinas will wrap up their group stage campaign on 30 July against Norway.
