Phoenix nips TNT, 91-88

Phoenix Super LPG squandered a 17-point lead before pulling off a gripping 91-88 victory over TNT to extend its winning streak to five in the Philippine Basketball Association Commissioner’s Cup on 30 October at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.

But the Fuel Masters had to earn it the hard way.

They held the Tropang Giga to just seven points in the first period, but lost a big lead and had to grind out at every possession.

They dominated the offensive boards, 20-10, and scored more points in the shaded lane, 38-22.

Phoenix is now at fifth spot in the standings behind Barangay Ginebra San Miguel.
