Pacquiao started out just like some of the guys who are fighting in the undercard.

Former amateur standout Criztian Pitt Laurente risks his unbeaten record against JR Magboo for the vacant Philippine Boxing Federation super-featherweight crown during the revival of Blow-by-Blow boxing program on 20 November at the Mandaluyong City College.

Armed with a 10-0 win-loss card with six knockouts, Laurente is being groomed to become one of Blow-by-Blow’s top products in line with the vision of boxing legend Manny Pacquiao.

Before turning pro in 2019, Laurente was named Asia’s top junior boxer in 2016.

Pacquiao is bringing Blow-by-Blow back in the hopes of discovering new talent and two-time world champion Gerry Peñalosa has gotten the marching orders to make things happen.

Peñalosa will be running the staging of the fights and will handle the other important facets of the promotion with Art Monis tasked as main matchmaker.

Blow-by-Blow was where Pacquiao made a name for himself in the 1990s and it was the television show that propelled him to bigger things.

Peñalosa said nine other bouts are on tap in Blow-by-Blow’s return to the spotlight, ensuring fight fans of intense action.

“Pacquiao started out just like some of the guys who are fighting in the undercard. Slowly, he gained a huge following because of his never-say-die style. This is what we would like to see by bringing back Blow-by-Blow,” Peñalosa said.

Pacquiao has guaranteed his presence during the launching.
