Sales, De los Santos pace Fore by Four

Golf entrepreneur Gary Sales and guest partner Ricky de los Santos seized the lead in the overall gross division after two rounds in the Fore by Four Invitational team championships at the Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club in General Trias, Cavite over the weekend.

Sales and De los Santos combined for 65 points at the Faldo course and shot 46 points in the scramble format at Aoki for a two-round total of 111 points, three points ahead of the tandem of Ireneo Arbues and Kerwin Wong.

Arbues-Wong came through with the best score at Faldo with 68 but lost ground at Aoki with 40 points.

Running third with 106 points were Angelito Sortijas and Allen Embuscado.

In the overall net class, Francis Taylan and Mark Maltizo took a hefty 10-point lead after assembling 157 points — 76 at Faldo and 81 at Norman.

Raymund Custodio-Anly Custodio and Richard Knight-Rodel Rada came in second and third with 147 and 146, respectively.

The other leading tandems are:
Ireneo Arbues-Kerwin Wong in Division 1, Constantino-Navarro-Rodolfo Brobio in Division 2, Marino Torres-Gerald Castillo in Division 3, Francis Taylan-Mark Maltizo in Division 4, Marienelle Sales-Anniedole Salas in the Ladies, Nina Kersey-Cleo Thornton in the Member-Member, Alexander Marinas-Ricky Asentista in the Guest-Guest and Jerome Ngo-Park Seung Jin in the Sponsors bracket.

All four courses of Eagle Ridge are used for the tournament spread into two weekends.

The event resumes on Saturday and Sunday.
