BoC rallies behind Phl shooters

The Bureau of Customs Port of NAIA rallied behind the national squad that will see action in the International Practical Shooting Championship Handgun World Shoot XIX in Pattaya, Thailand from 27 November to 3 December.

The Philippine Practical Shooting Association worked with BoC officials to make sure that the equipment such as guns and ammunition of around 200 Filipino participants will be made available for the prestigious tournament.

Carmelita Tulasan, district collector of the BoC-NAIA and an active participant in the PPSA sport shooting community, assured Filipino delegates of their all-out support.

She also said BoC personnel, together with those from the Philippine National Police Firearms and Explosives Office, will be available round-the-clock to extend their assistance to the national athletes.

BoC commissioner Yogi Filemon Ruiz leads the BoC in providing assistance to the national delegation following the pronouncement of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. of supporting the Filipino shooters.

With this, PPSA president Edwin Lim expressed his gratitude to the BoC, saying that they appreciate the support and assistance of the BoC in the event in which the country will be sending its biggest delegation.
