Dottie Ardina pressed her bid for an LPGA Tour card by firing a one-under-par 71 in the fifth round of the final qualifying tournament at the Highlands Oaks golf course in Dothan, Alabama Thursday.

The 29-year-old Filipina sits on 7-under 351, still right on the number for 45 cards at stake at the end of the grueling 144-hole event.

She started with two birdies at the front to reach the turn on 2-under and added one more on 12 before finishing with bogeys on 16 and 18.

Bianca Pagdanganan, on the other hand, dug herself a big hole after an opening 80 that featured two double bogeys.

The 25-year-old long-hitter dropped to 2-under 356, five shots off the current cut line.

She started with three bogeys in the first five holes and closed the front nine with a double bogey.

Pagdanganan made another double bogey on 12 and bogeyed the next before nailing her first birdie on the par-5 15th. However, she dropped another shot on 16.

American Lauren Hartlage shot a 69 to retain the lead on 17-under, one stroke ahead of Aline Krauter, Chanettee Wannasaen, Valery Plata, Polly Mack and Riley Rennell.

Meanwhile, Princess Superal and Pauline del Rosario shot identical one-over-par 73s at the start of the Singapore Women’s Open at Tanah Merah Country Club in Singapore.

The Filipinas trail clubhouse leaders Hee Jeong Lim and So Mi Lee by eight shots with more players still out on the course.
