Azkals test Brunei mettle

SOCIAL MEDIA

The Philippine men’s national football team will try to turn it around as it faces Brunei tonight at the AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

The match begins at 6 p.m. as both the Azkals and the Tebuan look to finally get a win in Group A after their respective losses.

The Philippines suffered a heartbreaking 2-3 loss to Cambodia last Tuesday while Brunei was on the wrong end of a 0-5 thrashing from defending champion Thailand.

Kenshiro Daniels will be a marked man for the Azkals after scoring a brace against the Cambodians.

Jarvey Gayoso and Stephan Schrock are also expected to make an impact in this match after almost scoring the equalizer in the last match.

This will be head coach Josep Ferre’s first official match at the fabled Manila venue as a head coach.
