John Lester Murillo hit the insurance basket that gave Calamba a 75-71 lead with 34 seconds left, then Dylan Garcia answered back with a triple to shove San Pablo within striking distance in the last 24 seconds.
Both teams, however, came up with big stops at the other end, allowing Calamba to preserve its fourth win in six games, tied with its latest victim and Leyba Trucking Cabuyao, which earlier walloped Macos Meats Nagcarlan, 97-75.
Nikko Aguilar and Rob Panes each scored 18 to lead the way for Cabuyao while big guy Mike Parala wound up with a double-double performance of 11 points and 13 boards.
