Seven cars top the list of prizes in the Don Celso Tuason and Valley Founders Cup which makes a grand return from 16 to 19 February at the Valley Golf and Country Club in Antipolo, Rizal.

Four vehicles — Mercedes Benz GLB, Mercedes Benz C180, Toyota Corolla Cross and Toyota Raize — and Yamaha and Club Car golf carts will be awarded as hole-in-one prizes in selected holes.

A Toyota Corolla Altis G CVT will be one of the major tournament raffles that include a lithium-powered Evolution golf cart, smart TVs, Apple gadgets, plane tickets and golf equipment, among others.

In addition, a Mercedes Benz GLA 200 and Toyota Raize G CVT will be raffled off to Valley members aside from an Omega watch and assorted Samsung gadgets.

“We are really doing everything we can to make this a really amazing, unforgettable DCT Cup,” Valley president Chino Raymundo said.

“After being away for two years, our members and partners deserve nothing less.”

The P20,000 entry fee for each team comes with two-weekday practice rounds at the North and South courses, cocktails on the first three days, breakfast for players teeing off in the morning, lunch for golfers starting in the afternoon, and awards night dinner on 19 February.

Each team also receives P20,000 in gift certificates from Icon Golf and Sports, the distributor of Honma, G/Fore, and other premium sports brands.

The field is limited to 400 two-player teams composed of a member and a guest.

EVO OIL, VMJ, the maintenance contractor responsible for the immaculate conditions at Valley, and Golf Kitchen, the concessionaire at the main clubhouse, are gold sponsors.

Also backing the annual event are Januarius Holdings, Prime Sports, Cats Motors, Toyota Otis, SJK Guahan, Yamaha Kartplaza, LHAM, SPES Construction, Pacsports, Icon Golf, Sagada Construction, Mitsubishi Air, Dimax Food Wholesaling and Forest Hills Golf and Country Club.

Valley Golf has risen in stature in recent years due to sound management and a series of progressive, forward-thinking board of directors.

Recent improvements include a new swimming pool, renovated locker rooms, and a two-story golf cart parking building.

The tournament is seen as a celebration of Valley’s growing prestige.
