Myla Pablo can’t wait to begin the upcoming Premier Volleyball League season with F2 Logistics this year.
Pablo said her decision to leave Petro Gazz for the Cargo Movers boils down to her wanting to grow as a player.
The 29-year-old outside hitter recently won the PVL Reinforced Conference title last year with the Angels over Cignal HD.
“This year, I will be joining a new team and family. My decision to transfer to F2 was mainly driven because I wanted to grow in my career,” Pablo said.
“I’m really thankful to Petro Gazz for the two years with them and learned a lot that I’ll bring with me in my career moving forward.”
Pablo, a two-time PVL Most Valuable Player, will join a Cargo Movers side with a new head coach in Regine Diego.
She will also be joining a squad that has veteran players Kim Fajardo, Kim Kianna Dy and Aby Maraño.
Pablo is eager to power the Cargo Movers to their first semifinal appearance since joining the PVL in 2021.
The squad is currently revamping its roster after letting go of middle blockers Des Clemente and Chloe Cortez as well as setters Rem Cailing and Alex Cabanos.
“F2 has a great program and is really famous. However, after the pandemic, it faced a lot of challenges and after hearing from its management, I felt how big the value I will give once I join,” Pablo said.
“I’m excited because apart from the coaches, I played against the veterans here so I have a lot to pick up that will help me and the whole team.”
