Sinatraa makes Valorant return

SOCIAL MEDIA

Former Sentinels star and live streamer Jay “Sinatraa” Won is set to make a comeback in the professional Valorant arena as he signed up with Untamable Beast for the North American Valorant Challengers Last Chance Qualifier set on 17 January.

Sinatraa, a 2019 Overwatch League Most Valuable Player will team up with his former Sentinels teammate Jared “zombs” Gitlin, former OpTic Gaming star Jimmy “Marved” Nguyen, Connor “PROD” Moran, and Coby “dizzy” Meadows.

The 22-year-old American star has been away from the competitive scene after Sentinels benched him for allegations of sexual abuse filed by his ex-girlfriend.

Shortly after that, Riot Games launched an investigation and decided to suspend him for six months.

Still, Sinatraa kept his eyes on the prize in a bid to compete professionally again.

After all, he is a decorated Overwatch player and known in the Valorant scene for his mastery of duelist Raze.

“The part of being a pro, like, I do not want to go back unless it is not perfect to miss a lot of work,” Sinatraa said in one of his past livestreams.

“It takes a lot of dedication and work. It is not something you just randomly do. One day, it will be back when the time is right.”

Sinatraa, however, denied that his upcoming stint with Untamable Beast is his formal return to competitive play.

He also announced that he will stream his games in the Last Chance Qualifier.

“Return to competitive – and not my return to competitive,” Sinatraa tweeted, which was met with various criticisms that claimed that he is already making an excuse should he fail to emerge successful.

But Sinatraa vowed to do his best to win.

“We will be trying plus streaming. Our goal is not to become some sponsored team. Just play a tourney together for fun. Again, we will be trying,” he stressed.
