Gilas ends WUS stint with a win vs. Iran

Gilas Pilipinas capped their stint in the WUS International Basketball Tournament in Heyuan, China after burying Iran-B, 63-48, at the Xiaoqing Sport Center on Monday evening.

The Philippines ended with a 3-1 win-loss record in the tournament that serves as a buildup for the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup from 25 August to 10 September.

Gilas will return to Manila on Tuesday with Utah Jazz star Jordan Clarkson also arriving from the Los Angeles International Airport.

The team will be having tune-up matches between Mexico and Montenegro in the country before their World Cup stint start on 25 August against the Dominican Republic at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan.
