Honda Cars Philippines is set to write a new chapter in the story of its flagship SUV, the CR-V, with the highly anticipated unveiling of the sixth-generation model on 13 September.

This new page aligns seamlessly with Honda’s worldwide mission to accelerate electrification, embodying a significant step towards a more sustainable future in the automotive landscape.

The highlight of the All-New Honda CR-V is the introduction of the e:HEV full-hybrid system, a milestone that marks the first time this technology will be available in the CR-V.

This system synergistically combines a robust 2.0-liter engine with dual electric motors.

Built on Honda’s latest hybrid technology, it not only provides outstanding fuel efficiency but also significantly reduces emissions, all without compromising the exhilarating and dynamic driving experience that Honda is renowned for.

But the innovation doesn’t stop there. The sixth-generation Honda CR-V will also be the first in its lineage to offer a turbocharged gas engine in the 1.5 V Turbo CVT and 1.5 VX Turbo CVT AWD variants.

This engineering feat allows the CR-V to deliver a robust performance while optimizing fuel efficiency, addressing both power and economy in one fell swoop.

Moreover, the All-New CR-V will be the first in the Philippines to be furnished with Honda Connect, a system developed by Honda to elevate the levels of safety, security, and convenience for its customers.

Utilizing cutting-edge smart telematics technology, Honda Connect enables users to maintain a seamless connection with their vehicles through a smartphone application, ensuring an enhanced ownership experience that resonates with the modern driver’s needs.

All the variants of the All-New Honda CR-V are fortified with the latest generation of Honda Sensing driver-assist technology.

This groundbreaking feature employs a front camera and radar to effectively detect cars, motorcycles, bicycles, pedestrians, and other road users, epitomizing Honda’s dedication to creating advanced vehicles with a strong emphasis on safety.

The exterior design is also a significant evolution, making the All-New Honda CR-V longer and wider than ever before.

The increased proportions and broader stance infuse the vehicle with a sporty and sturdy appearance, signaling the SUV’s readiness to elevate the segment to unprecedented heights.

Inside the vehicle, the All-New Honda CR-V radiates premium quality with its high-grade materials and upscale touches.

Described aptly as sporty, modern, and spacious, the larger cabin ensures enhanced comfort for both the driver and passengers, encapsulating the very essence of luxury on the move.

The All-New Honda CR-V is set to be offered at competitive price points that align with the cutting-edge technology and advanced features that it has on offer.

The 1.5 V Turbo CVT variant will be available at P2,150,000, while the more performance-oriented 1.5 VX Turbo CVT AWD variant is priced at P2,300,000. For those looking to embrace Honda’s latest full-hybrid system, the 2.0 RS e:HEV E-CVT will command a price tag of P2,600,000.

In a statement about this ambitious launch, Rie Miyake, HCPI President, expressed: “We are eager to launch the All-new Honda CR-V in the Philippines because this is a major step towards a carbon-neutral future for the next generation. With cumulative sales of over 70,000 units since it came to the Philippines in 1997, I know the Honda CR-V has a special place in the heart of Filipino customers.

“The all-new model, with the new e:HEV, Honda Connect, and Honda Sensing, is yet again how Honda demonstrates our commitment to a cleaner, healthier environment, and to safety for everyone.”

This sixth-generation Honda CR-V, tracing its lineage back to 1995 and often referred to as the “Comfortable Runabout Vehicle,” continues a robust legacy.

With millions sold since its inception, the CR-V stands tall as Honda’s leading global model, and the latest version is poised to carry on this tradition of excellence, enriching the brand’s push for more innovation, better quality, and sustainability in its products.
