Lyceum skipper completes triple crown

SOCIAL MEDIA

It’s a mission accomplished for Lyceum of the Philippines University team captain  Ralph “Alas” Araz after he led his school to its third Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Collegiate Center Championship recently at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

The winners of Seasons 1 and 2, Lyceum came charging in the Season 3 finals against College of Saint Benilde where it dominated the best-of-five series via sweep.

Alas said he did not expect to dominate the series the way they did.

“We did not expect to sweep them in the playoffs because the matches were tough in the qualifiers. Unlike in Seasons 1 and 2 when we knew that we were the favorite, this time we did not know. This is a sweet victory,” Alas stated.

The latest season of the collegiate tournament was monumental for Alas, as Season 3 will mark his final stint as Lyceum’s Mobile Legends: Bang Bang team captain and player.

He said he is happy with the legacy that he is leaving behind.

“This is my last season and this is all too good for me. I am very happy because we were able to do a three-peat,” Alas said.

“This is what I wanted the most before I graduated, for the team to get a three-peat. We were able to do that so the whole team is very happy.”
