TOKYO, Japan — Flyweight prospect Dave Apolinario kept his unbeaten record intact after carving out a lopsided eight-round decision over Mexican Bryan Mosiños late Wednesday at the Korakuen Hall.

Apolinario dropped Mosiños once in the second round en route to winning by scores of 79-72, 78-73 and 78-73.

It was Apolinario’s Japanese debut and his first as the first non-Japanese talent of Ohashi Promotions, the outfit that also manages pound-for-pound king Naoya Inoue, who was at ringside.

Lending support to Apolinario during fight night were top handler JC Mananquil and the hardworking duo of Ramon Falgui and Mike Pelayo as well as a small contingent from Nagoya.
