Eala blasts Tunisian foe

Alex Eala took town hometown bet Feryel Ben Hassen 6-1, 6-0 in the first qualifying match of the Jasmin Open in Monastir, Tunisia Saturday evening.

This is Eala’s first tournament since getting her bronze medals in the women’s singles and mixed doubles at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China last September.

Eala only needs to beat France’s Elsa Jacquemot in the second round of qualifiers tonight at 7:20 p.m. (Manila time) to enter the main draw of the tournament.
