Azkals stun Kyrgyzstan

The Philippine national men’s football team defeated Kyrgyzstan, 1-0, in an unofficial friendly football match in Bahrain on Sunday (Manila time).

Kaya FC-Iloilo defender Audie Menzi scored the lone goal of the match that is part of the Azkals’ preparation for the second round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers this November.

The Azkals will face the Bahrainians in a friendly match on Wednesday, 12 a.m. (Manila time) at the Sheikh Ali bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Stadium in Bahrain.
