The Newbie Golfers PH is launching its first fellowship tournament on 22 October at Club Intramuros in Manila.

Strictly for golf beginners — in a hope to help grow the sport — the tournament will fire off 7 a.m. right after the registration and opening rites at 6 a.m.

“What sets this apart is that we are only asking for the same as what Intramuros is charging for the green fee, buffet and miscellaneous fee,” said organizer Earl Leonardo.

“There is no top-up (payment) on our part. We will still be providing prizes for fun holes and raffle through the generosity of friends and supporters.”

Registration fee is P2,110 inclusive of green fee, buffet, pull-cart, insurance. Caddie fee and golf cart are not included, though.
