No M5 for defending champion ECHO as Blacklist wins lower bracket finals

Blacklist International copped the second Philippine slot in the M5 World Championship following an impressive win over defending champion ECHO in the lower bracket finals of the MPL Season at midnight this Saturday at EVM Convention Center in Quezon City.

Composed of Renejay, Edward, Yue, Sensui, and Oheb, Blacklist International scored a thrilling 3-1 win over the defending MPL and M-Series world champion ECHO. The win gives them a chance to become a four-time MPL champion and the only Philippine team to make three straight appearances at the M-Series Mobile Legends World Championship.

“So many doubted us. They say no V33Wise (OhMyV33nus and Wise) no win, and now we are headed to M5,” said a teary Edward after the match, who was named as match MVP.

Blacklist International will meet AP Bren in the finals tomorrow, Sunday, at 6:00 PM.
