Yokohama eliminates Kaya in AFC Champions League

Yan Matheus scored a crucial goal in the 87th minute to power Yokohama F. Marinos to a 2-1 win over Kaya FC – Iloilo in the AFC Champions League at the Rizal Memorial Football Field on Tuesday.

With Matheus’ game-winning goal, Kaya is now out of contention after losing four games.

Yuhi Murakami opened the scoring in the 26th minute for Yokohama before Daizo Horikoshi scored for Kaya in the 39th minute.

Kaya’s next match will be against Shandong Taishan FC on 28 November at the Jinan Olympic Sports Center Stadium in China
