TNT Tropang Giga kept on track of its title bid in Leg 6 of the Philippine Basketball Association 3×3 Second Conference after clinching a berth in the quarterfinals along with two others Monday at Ayala Malls Trinoma.

The Tropang Giga swept their Pool A assignments with victories over Cavitex, 19-16, and Terrafirma, 21-20, putting themselves in a perfect position to win another leg crown worth P100,000.

The team of coach Mau Belen is looking to score another back-to-back championship and a fifth title in six legs this conference

Joining the multi-titled franchise in Tuesday’s knockout round are the Braves and Leg 4 champion MCFASolver.

The Braves (1-1) took the other quarterfinal slot in Pool A with a 21-14 win over Terrafirma, which bowed out of contention with its 0-2 slate.

The Tech Centrale, on the other hand, are off to a hot start in Pool C following wins over Barangay Ginebra, 18-13, and San Miguel, 20-18, for a 2-0 record.

The remaining five slots in the playoffs are still being disputed by teams in Pools B and C, respectively, as of press time.

Despite absorbing a 12-10 loss to Purefoods, Pioneer Elastoseal continued to show the way in Pool B with a 2-1 record on the strength of its 18-17 win over Meralco and 21-16 victory against Blackwater.

Three teams in Pool B and two others in Pool C will complete the quarterfinal cast of the conference’s final leg heading to the grand finals next week.

Runner-up team will receive P50,000 and third placer P30,000.
