Nocum, Painters ink 2-year deal

Adrian Nocum formally signed with Rain or Shine, making him available to see action in the ongoing Commissioner’s Cup of the Philippine Basketball Association.

The Elasto Painters made the announcement, saying that the former Mapua University star is now free to join them after wrapping up his stint with the San Juan Knights in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League.

Present at the signing were Rain or Shine head coach Yeng Guiao, assistant coach Caloy Garcia and team manager Jireh Ibanes.

Nocum, who was taken with the 24th overall pick in the recent Rookie Draft, will join the young core composed of Rey Nambatac, Anton Asistio, Andrei Caracut and Gian Mamuyac.

He will be coming in with a reputation of being a winner after being part of the Mapua squad that challenged Letran College for the title in Season 97 of the National Collegiate Athletic Association men’s basketball tournament in 2022.
