CJH Team 2 clinches Am-A top plum

BAGUIO CITY — Camp John Hay Golf Club-2 made the most of its familiarity with the course by putting together a closing 385 and annexing the Am-A title Wednesday in the 73rd Fil-Am Golf Invitationals at CJH here.

The hosts added a sweetener, a closing round 118, for the title.

Providing the heroics for CJHGC2 were Mars Garcia who led with 35 points, Yun Hur (31), Pol Mayos (27) and Manny Solis (25).

Baguio Blue Bloods Seniors ended up second with 353 after a 97 while Moto (100-348) was third.

Albert Dionisio tallied 20 at BCC to help Fil-Am Japan (67-322) capture the Fil-C crown. Other scorers were Renato Sayo 19, Alex Agapito 16 and Pablito Tolentino 12.

Dagupan Barkadahan (77-311) was the runner-up followed by Chemsol-Flowtork (69-308) and Solid North Transit (62-292).

In the Fil-F, City of Pines (82-296) became the first squad to win in the regular division. The News Ones Sandiwa (61-272), Team Banh Mi (55-270), Razcals Reload (61-266) and Jasper (62-263) were in the top five.

Julio Cada of Golf F-SVGI was the fourth player to score a hole-in-one when he aced CJH’s Hole No. 13 121 yards using a Beres 9-iron and TaylorMade #1 ball. Flightmates were Benny Paulino of Guam Seals, Boyet Brion of Mountaineers Discovery Club and Sonny Alinio of CaliPhil-Hawaii.
