MPL PH Season 12 champion AP Bren emerged victorious in its highly-anticipated showdown with Burmese Ghoul in the opening game of the M5 Mobile Legends World Championship this Saturday at EVM Convention Center in Quezon City.

It can be remembered that Bren and Burmese Ghouls shared a history together. More than two years ago in M2, Bren Esports and the Myanmar representative battled toe-to-toe in the grand finals where the Filipinos emerged victorious with a 4-3 score.

The new AP Bren roster, which is composed of familiar and new faces in Pheww, Flap, KyleTzy, Owgwen and Super Marco, left no doubt in the opening game by beating their visiting foes in a matter of 13 minutes.

Burmese Ghouls put up a better fight in Game 2, but ultimately fell to AP Bren in 26 minutes. Now 1-0 in the Group Stage, AP Bren will face Team Flash on Wednesday, 6 December, and then Team Lilgun the day after.
