4 p.m. — Nxled vs Farm Fresh

6 p.m. — Chery Tiggo vs Choco Mucho

Red-hot Choco Mucho and rebound-seeking Chery Tiggo give a sneak peek of a probable semifinals showdown as the Premier Volleyball League visits Iloilo today for the penultimate elimination round playdate of the All-Filipino Conference.

Both teams are looking to close their elims run on a bright note and bring momentum into the next round when they clash in the scheduled 6 p.m. main game at the University of San Agustin Gymnasium.

Meanwhile, facing off at 4 p.m. are also-ran squads Farm Fresh and Nxled which are seeking to end their maiden season in the pro ranks with a victory.

The Flying Titans are riding on a nine-game winning streak and at the second spot with a 9-1 win-loss record behind unbeaten sister team defending champion Creamline.

Choco Mucho, holding superior match points earned compared to Chery Tiggo, already assured of at least the No. 2 seed in the best-of-three semifinals set to begin on 7 December at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City.

The Flying Titans are coming off a 25-16, 25-17, 25-11, demolition of Gerflor last Tuesday.

Choco Mucho head coach Dante Alinsunurin wants his team to treat the match as an important build up heading to its first semis appearance after four conferences.

“We need to bring out the same effort that we’ve shown in our previous games to Iloilo. It will be a big boost to our confidence if we end the eliminations with 10 straight wins,” Alinsunurin said.

“So that we’ll have momentum going to the semis.”

Highlighting the marquee clash is the matchup between former college teammates Sisi Rondina of the Flying Titans and the Crossovers’ power-hitting young star Eya Laure.

Backing up Rondina are Isa Molde, Bea De Leon, Caitlin Viray, Kat Tolentino, Maddie Madayag, Cherry Nunag and top setter Deanna Wong while Laure have Mylene Paat, EJ Laure, Cza Carandang, Pauline Gaston, Cess Robles and playmaker Jasmine Nabor by her side.
