MPL PH Season 12 champion AP Bren scored its second win in the Group Stage of the M5 Mobile Legends World Championship after a thrilling sweep over Singapore’s Team Flash this Wednesday evening at EVM Convention Center in Quezon City.

AP Bren looked down and out in the opening game as Team Flash enjoyed a 10-1 lead in kills up to the middle game. The Filipinos, however, refused to give up and mounted a comeback to close the gap to 11-9 before winning the game in 21 minutes.

Game 2 was not as much of a blood fest as the opening game. With a Bruno, Fredrinn, Faramis, Paquito, and Mathilda lineup, AP Bren needed just 4 kills before breaking the enemy base in 14 minutes to cop the series.

“We just waited for our enemies’ error. We maximized the errors and punished them,” said AP Bren roamer Owgwen after the match, talking about how his team still managed to win the opener despite the overwhelming odds.

Now atop the group with a 2-0 standing, AP Bren will face Team Lilgun later today which happens to be the final day of the Group Stage. Blacklist International, meanwhile, will also have its final match against Fire Flux Esports.
