For the eighth straight year, high-end car modifications expert Import Hookup swept the top awards in the recent 2023 Manila Auto Salon at SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

Among the accolades it received was the Best of Show awards for its spectacular booths that displayed only the finest in cars.

Nothing new there. Just another day in the office for owner Keith Bryan Haw, the young brilliant mind who took his love of car from out of his imagination into a thriving business with a cult following to boot.

“I want to express my gratitude to my clients, dealers and all the people who have supported and visited us,” said Haw in a social media post.

“To my partner shops who helped me with the builds, thank you.”

“Building tasteful cars is truly what I love the most and I’m glad to showcase it in the event.”

He shared the same delight with the people who visited Import Hookup’s booth.

Its Ferrari 458 Italia garnered the top plum in Extreme Custom, Best in Body Kit, First in Extreme Car Modification and First in Supercar.

Sitting beside it was the Rolls Royce Ghost which won the Best of Show Custom Car, Best in Interior and First in Luxury Sedan.

Import Hookup also bagged the First in HyperCar for its McLaren 765 LT; First in Art Car for its Porsche 992 Turbo S and second place in Luxury Car Sedan for its Mercedes Benz S580.

“They really leveled up car modification to art form,” said avid fan and friend of the shop Arsenic Lacson, assistant department head of the Manila City Parks Development Office.

In pulling off multimillion-peso modification projects, Import Hookup partners with establishments who share the same passion as his, like Car Porn Racing, RV Studio, Alex Restoration and Titan Works.

Quite a big feat for somebody who started his love affair with cars, playing matchboxes, drawing emblems and putting on glossy posters on his room.

He started the business of modification at a tender age of 17 with his friends among his clientele. Then he expanded his market to bigger, more expensive cars.

He imported car parts and hook up with people who, just like him, want to spruce up their rides. Soon enough, he’s joining shows.

His main forte, to die-for cars like Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, Audi and Rolls Royce.
