Eala suffers early UAE exit

Alex Eala gets booted out of the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open after a 6-7, 1-6 loss to Magda Linette of Poland at the International Tennis Centre in Zayed Sports City in the United Arab Emirates Tuesday evening (Manila time).

Eala played for one hour and 51 minutes before her Polish foe clinched a spot in the next round.

The Rafael Nadal Academy graduate is still seeking a professional women’s singles title in 2024 after a successful stint last year with two pro titles and two Asian Games bronze medals on her debut.
