Malabuyo bags World Cup silver medal

Filipino-American gymnast Emma Malabuyo picked up a silver medal in the women’s floor exercise at the 2024 FIG Apparatus World Cup in Cairo Sunday evening (Manila time).

Malabuyo scored 12.666 points to secure a podium finish in the first leg of the World Cup as she aspires to join fellow Filipino gymnasts Carlos Yulo and Aleah Finnegan in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Mana Okamura of Japan took the gold with a score of 13.066 points while Spain’s Laura Casablanca took the bronze medal with a score of 12.633.
