Ruivivar finishes at eighth in uneven bars

Filipino-American gymnast Levi Jung-Ruivivar finished in eighth place in women’s uneven bars in the Baku leg of the FIG Apparatus World Cup in Azerbaijan last Saturday.

Ruivivar finished with 11.900 points in the medal round of the tournament which offers slots for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Kaylia Nemour of Algeria clinched the gold medal with 15.433 points while Elisa Iorio of Italy came in second place with 14.300 points.

Katelyn Jong of the United States completed the podium with 13.733 points for the bronze medal.

So far, the Philippines clinched a bronze medal after Carlos Yulo got third place in the men’s floor exercise.

Emma Malabuyo is the last competitor for the Filipino gymnast as she is set to compete in the women’s floor exercise final on Sunday.
