It was redemption night for ONIC PH as it bounced back from defeat yesterday with a morale-boosting victory over RSG PH on Week 1 Day 3 of MPL Season 13 on Sunday evening at Shooting Gallery Studios in Makati.

Coming off a 0-2 loss at the hands of ECHO yesterday, ONIC’s revamped roster of Kelra, Kingkong, Escalera, Jem, and Super Frince delivered a stunning sweep over the former MPL PH champion.

“They had an okay performance trying to execute what they wanted. We were just able to overwhelm them with what we did,” ONIC PH head coach Ynot said after the match.

“Maybe we were just better prepared. They are a strong team, perhaps we were just [more prepared] with what was needed to be done,” added ONIC PH’s gold laner Kelra.

Defending MPL and M-Series world champion AP Bren and ECHO, meanwhile, scored a sweep over TNC and Omega Esports respectively. Both teams ended the opening week with a flawless 2-0 standing and 6 points.
